A QA Automation Tester is responsible for designing, implementing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications. This role involves writing test scripts using automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or Appium, to validate the software’s behavior and identify defects early in the development process. QA Automation Testers work closely with developers and product managers to understand the requirements and create automated tests that cover critical user journeys, edge cases, and integration points. They ensure that automated tests are integrated into the continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline, enabling faster and more efficient software releases. The tester is also involved in maintaining and optimizing existing test scripts, analyzing test results, and reporting defects in a clear and concise manner. This role requires a strong understanding of software development processes, programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript, and testing best practices.
