A Lead Salesforce Tester is responsible for overseeing and managing the testing efforts for Salesforce-based applications and customizations within an organization. This role involves designing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure the quality, functionality, and performance of Salesforce applications. The Lead Salesforce Tester collaborates with developers, business analysts, and functional consultants to understand the requirements and create test scenarios that cover all aspects of the Salesforce platform, including custom objects, workflows, integrations, and user interfaces. They lead a team of testers, guiding them in executing manual and automated testing, identifying defects, and tracking them through resolution. The Lead Salesforce Tester ensures that all testing activities align with best practices and organizational standards while maintaining a focus on scalability, security, and usability. They also manage testing environments, coordinate with stakeholders for UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and work on continuous improvement of the testing processes. In addition, this role requires strong knowledge of Salesforce features, such as Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and Service Cloud, as well as experience with testing tools and automation frameworks like Selenium or QTP. Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are key for managing a testing team and ensuring successful project delivery.
